Mathematics Behaviour Problems

I have been struggling with the behaviour and engagement in my maths class so Amanda came in to observe how I was going. Points that she came across is that I need to make time to set up the behaviour management in my class. I feel that because we cross group I don't have the same relationship that I do in my core class and struggle to find the time to set discpline as I am just trying to use the time that I have with the children to maximise the learning. As Amanda pointed out though, if they aren't behaving then how much learning are they actually doing. I am now going to make sure that they have the right boundaries and a negative consequence as well as a po sitive consequence,. Hopefully with a bit of extra behaviour work their learning might also start to improve.
